More From Dollywood

Here are some more pictures of our trip to Dollywood's national gospel and harvest celebration. We were able to see "The Booth Brothers", who were very good. Our visit covered days Saturday thru Tuesday. The picture below shows a man making biscuits on the back end of an original chuck wagon that would travel with the cattle drives. They were cooking these biscuits in a dutch oven with coals underneath and coals on top of the oven. I had never seen anything like this. The biscuits were golden brown on top and bottom and were very good.

I took this picture of Debbie outside of Dolly's bus. We took the tour of this bus, which has been retired for now and Dolly has a newer one that she travels on. This bus was very nice, they said it has about 600,000 miles on it. We took some pictures inside.

This is her bedroom, her mother and daddy's picture is to the left, then her grandparents, with Dolly and some other family members on the right. Below is her dressing vanity and the yellow dress she wore during a recent concert.

Harold Jr's Birthday Party

Our Sister-in-law Connie had a surprise birthday party for her Husband (and Debbie's Brother) Harold Jr. I think he was really surprised! It was a great party and I think everyone had a good time. Here are some pictures from the party.

Dollywood

Dollywood had some beautiful decorations. We were able to see a lot of shows and had a great time around the park.

Ray and Debbie

Crawford and Cindy

October 4th, Deb and I went to Dollywood's National Gospel and Harvest Celebration. We were able to see Jason Crabb (picture below) on Saturday. Our hotel was in Gatlinburg. Ford's parents were also staying at the same place. The next morning we got with Crawford and Cindy and went to the Old Mill Resturant for breakfast. We left there and went back to Dollywood and was able to spend some time together. After awhile Crawford and Cindy headed back to South Carolina. Deb and I went to see a few shows which included "The Isaacs", "The Ball Brothers" and "The Crist Family". They all put on a real good show and we enjoyed it a lot. We left and stopped at Texas Roadhouse for supper.

Bus Tour

This is the bus, we had our tour on.

These are pictures of an area in the middle of Miami. It's just a jungle.

The walls and the statues are made from coral shells

A lot of the caskets are on top of the ground.

This area is were they filmed the movies of Tarzan. These tree limbs hang to the ground, then start more roots, which gives them a big base. The Driver showed us where Tarzan, Jane and Boy lived according to the movies. On down you will see where Tarzan would swim and dive off the falls.

I can't remember the name of this palace, but they said that John McCain
was there that day.

This Church is where Al Capone would hide out in the top window room.

This is the fountain of youth.

Tarzan's swimming hole.

The oldest Diner in the area.
